Brazilian-born Roberto Faria proved himself to be a rising talent since his start with karting in late 2014, showing skill and claiming national titles before switching to single-seaters in 2019, when he made his move to British F4.
He finished third in the rookie standings in his first season in the series, subsequently moving up to British F3 – now GB3 Championship – where he scored a podium in 2020 and was in the battle for the title in 2021, collecting a win in Spa-Francorchamps and nine podiums overall. Alongside GB3, in 2021 Roberto was also involved in the F3 Asian Championship. The 2022 season is off to a promising start for the young Sauber Academy talent, having collected three podium finishes and currently sitting third in the standings.
Alongside his racing career, Roberto is currently enrolled in the second year of his International Baccalaureate.
