Sauber Group and Creightivist join the #GarageTime project to support Save the Children
The Sauber Group of companies has teamed up with custom-made fashion experts Creightivist to launch a special fashion collection to raise funds for Save the Children and its work during this time of pandemic.
From the 1st of May 2020, the limited #GarageTime series is available at www.creightivist.com: this exclusive range includes sweatshirts and t-shirts featuring the new #GarageTime logo as well as fifteen retro and current Team wallpapers celebrating Grands Prix of the 2019 season, as well as Melbourne 2020 – the race that never was. These retro images, as well as the key visual of the campaign, the Sauber House, which imagines how the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN’s drivers are spending their lockdown time, are designed by Valencia-based artist Juan Alcalá (IG: @jalcalara). The garments come in different colors and can be customized.
The current pandemic affects everyone without exception, but it hits the most vulnerable members of our global society particularly hard: children in poor regions, crisis areas and refugee camps. The #GarageTime campaign aims to help this vulnerable section of society, corralling the values of the Sauber Group – cohesion, dedication and teamwork – in these times of need. Funds raised by the sales of #GarageTime edition items will support the Sauber Group’s official charity partner, Save the Children.
The #GarageTime campaign started on May 1st, 2020 and will end at the resumption of the 2020 Formula One season. All #GarageTime collection items are marked with a numbered key ring, a further memento and reminder of the exclusivity of this range.
In addition to purchasing the products, fans will also be able to enter a raffle to win a prize offered by the team. To do so, fans will just need to upload a selfie of themselves wearing their #GarageTime garments to Instagram, using the hashtag #GarageTime.
Frédéric Vasseur, CEO Sauber Group of Companies: “Sharing is caring and solidarity in the truest sense of the word is the only way to cope with the crisis affecting the entire world. Social responsibility has always played an important part of our corporate culture. I am proud that we, as Sauber Group, in cooperation with our partner Save the Children and with Creightivist, are devoted to turn this crisis into an opportunity to support the most fragile members of the global society: the children worldwide.”
Ömer Güven, CEO of Save the Children Switzerland: “We are delighted to witness the launch of the #GarageTime apparel line. All the parties involved are showing their strong commitment to support children in emergency situations. One hundred and one years after the foundation of Save the Children, in 1919, we celebrate heroes who make our work possible – including the entire Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN team and their fans.”
Kimi Räikkönen, Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN driver: “Not every child has a shelter in times of pandemic, so it is important we do what we can to help Save the Children reach out to them. I invite you all to join us in the #GarageTime project and play your part to support children in need.”
