Robert Kubica prepares for FP1 outing in Styria

Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN reserve driver, Robert Kubica, will get his next free practice one outing at the Styrian Grand Prix. Robert will take over Kimi Räikkönen’s car during the first hour of practice in the opening weekend in Spielberg, in the first week of the Austrian double-header.

Robert’s experience has proven extremely useful to the team so far, with the Pole having been in the car in practice in Barcelona, providing plenty of information to the engineers on a track that represents a valid baseline for any car. His work in Spielberg will surely continue to help the team as we keep progressing through this important season.

Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN and CEO Sauber Motorsport AG: “Robert is an important resource for our team and to have him in the car in Austria will be very valuable, especially as we will be racing at the same venue two weeks in a row. Robert has done a really good job in his first outings this year and we are looking forward to working with him again as he helps the team in its progression.”

Robert Kubica, Reserve Driver Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN: “I am looking forward to being back in the car next week. The team has made some big steps forward, especially lately, and you can sense the confidence in the whole squad. I know how important it is to keep the momentum going and I am ready to play my part to make sure the two weekends in Austria are as successful as they can be.”
