Group Leader Aerodynamic Development

Would you like to

  • primarily focus on managing a group of aerodynamicists effectively, reporting to a principal aerodynamicist?
  • deliver aerodynamic performance to the race car, by analysing CFD and wind tunnel data as well as innovating throughout the design & development process?
  • help to build an understanding of aerodynamic structures and behaviours around the race car?
  • suggest, investigate and, where applicable, implement new methods and processes to improve efficiency of aerodynamic ideas generation, design, testing, analysis and reporting?
  • contribute to collaborative discussions and efforts to improve whole-car performance, offering ideas and taking on board feedback from others?

Do you have

  • at least 6 to 7 years’ experience as well as a track record as a (senior) aerodynamicist in Formula 1?
  • a strong educational background in aerodynamics, with a degree in engineering that incorporates either aerodynamics or fluid mechanics?
  • experience in planning and organising aerodynamic projects against pre-agreed targets; this in collaboration with other Group Leaders?
  • proficient computer skills including CFD and 3D CAD software (preferably CATIA V5/V6)?
  • a strong technical understanding of CFD and wind tunnel test techniques as well as experience of running wind tunnel testing programs?
  • excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical approach, with attention to detail?
  • the capacity to lead a project and achieve performance targets within strict deadlines?
  • exceptional communication and organisational skills to effectively manage a small team of people?
  • a Swiss work permit or an EU nationality and therefore meet the criteria for a work permit in Switzerland?

  • a team player but with the initiative to make own decisions?
  • able to work under pressure with minimal supervision?
