Continuous Improvement Engineer

Continuous Improvement Engineer

This key position plays a pivotal role in the strategic roll out of a CI culture and builds on the foundations of the businesses wide CI commitments over the coming years towards our long term Vision.

You will be responsible for the effective introduction of key continuous improvement projects, improving efficiency through analysis, planning of workflow, Design to Manufacture and the strategic use of lean tools.

As this role is generally a prototyping / low volume process Six Sigma is not a requirement for this position, but strong demonstratable success within an engineering Design function would be advantageous.

  • lead and coach team members in continuous improvement skills, providing guidance and support for implementation of improvement projects?
  • lead the team in the use of all appropriate continuous improvement tools and techniques e.g. Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving etc.?
  • develop and deliver appropriate training programmes to enhance the continuous improvement skills and capabilities of the team?
  • develop and implement appropriate data gathering studies. Analyse data to provide evidence necessary to drive improvement focus?
  • provide practical hands-on support developing processes, including the IT tools used.Streamline processes through the use of data to improve decision making through automated reporting?

Do you have

  • completed degree level studies in engineering or a related subject?
  • a proficient level of English and German language both spoken and written?
  • relevant knowledge of change management & continuous improvement methodologies?
  • a strong ability interpreting & communicating analytics and presenting to senior leadership?
  • knowledge and experience with Lean?
  • the ability to identify investment requirements, collect data and prepare financial justifications for investment?
  • excellent communication skills and detail orientation?
  • the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to motivate a team?
