Pourchaire
Théo Pourchaire made his racing debut aged seven, going on to win multiple regional and national karting championships in his native France as he climbed up the ladder of Motorsport. Following a move to single-seater racing, in 2019 Théo claimed the German F4 championship title, in a battle that saw him coming on top of high-level competition.
With the launch of Sauber Academy in 2020, he was one of the first inductees in the newly formed driver development program, having access to Sauber’s expertise and know-how of over 50 years in Motorsport. In the same year Théo made the switch to the FIA F3 championship, finishing runner-up in the series and challenging for the title until the final race of the season, becoming the youngest race winner in the history of the series in the process.
A move to the FIA F2 championship for 2021 saw the young Frenchman break even more records, becoming the youngest-ever pole sitter and winner of a race; he remained among the front runners for the rest of the season, and going on to finish as runner-up the following season.
2022 also saw Théo getting a first taste of a Formula One Grand Prix weekend, as he made his on-track debut during a Free Practice session. He made a further step in 2023, becoming one of the team’s reserve drivers, a role he will be taking on alongside racing in FIA F2 for a third consecutive season.
