Hinwil, 2 July 2025 – Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber will participate in the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, joining the global motorsport community in celebrating 75 years of Formula One.
The team’s appearance at this iconic event marks a poignant moment in its journey — a celebration of the Sauber legacy in Formula One and a tribute to more than three decades of competition, innovation, and passion. As the team approaches a new chapter, its presence at Goodwood stands as both a reflection of its heritage and a glimpse into its future.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed, renowned for its celebration of motorsport and automotive heritage, provides the perfect backdrop for Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber to showcase its rich history. To honour this, the team will bring two iconic vehicles that encapsulate Sauber's journey in Formula One:
• The C12: Sauber's inaugural Formula One car, which debuted in 1993, will be on static display. This vehicle represents the foundational step of Sauber's long presence in the sport.
• The C32 (with C45 livery): A dynamic highlight of the weekend, the C32 will take on the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb. Dressed in the bold and modern C45 livery, it symbolically links Sauber’s past with its present identity.
The participation at Goodwood follows a recent and significant milestone for the team, having just celebrated its 600th Grand Prix. This achievement further underscores Sauber's long-term contribution to Formula One, a testament to its dedication, resilience, and evolution within the sport.
Making his Goodwood debut, Gabriel Bortoleto will take the wheel of the C32 for its dynamic run up the hill. Bortoleto represents the next generation of talent within the team, embodying the future.
Gabriel Bortoleto: "Driving the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is something I’ve always wanted to do – it’s a unique opportunity to see the most iconic racing and road cars up close and in action. To attend with Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber, representing such an iconic legacy, especially just after our 600th race, is incredibly special. I’m honoured to be a part of this moment and can’t wait to put on a show for the fans."
Jonathan Wheatley, Team Principal: “I’ve been coming to the Festival of Speed for as long as I have been racing, it’s a highlight of my calendar. Goodwood is a place where the past, present, and future of racing come together. Showcasing the C12 and the C32 in its striking C45 livery is a symbolic tribute to the arc of Sauber’s journey. It’s our way of honouring the people, passion, and performance that have shaped the team over more than three decades. As we approach a new era, we remain proud of our roots – and excited about where we’re headed.”
