F1 Academy Round 6 – Singapore

Oct 08 2025

Hinwil, 8 October 2025 – KICK Sauber F1 Team driver, Emma Felbermayr, enjoyed a strong weekend as F1 Academy took to the streets of Singapore for the penultimate round of the 2025 season. The young Austrian showed solid pace and progress around the demanding Marina Bay Street Circuit, securing important points through top-six finishes in both the weekend’s races.

After qualifying sixth, Emma started Race One from third per the reverse grid rule; the opening stages were characterised by wheel-to-wheel fighting in which she lost a couple of places, but the Austrian delivered a strong fightback to claw back some lost ground and cross the finish line in sixth. In Race Two, Emma made a strong launch to move into fifth, holding the position throughout the laps. When rain began to fall later on, she handled the changing conditions on slick tyres with care, eventually climbing up to fourth at the chequered flag.

The double-points scoring weekend was one of the strongest in the season for the 18-year-old, who showed confidence on a notoriously tricky circuit. With one round in the championship left, Emma now turns her focus to the season finale in Las Vegas, taking place at the end of November. Building on the progress shown in Singapore, the KICK Sauber F1 Team driver will be aiming to wrap up her rookie F1 Academy campaign on a strong note under the lights of the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.

“Overall, it’s been a solid, consistent weekend for me. Starting P3 in race one, I didn’t quite manage to stay at the front, but the pace was strong, and I feel like I could have pushed for more. In race two, I had a good start and moved up to fifth right away. For most of the race, even though I couldn’t close in on the cars ahead, I was able to hold position. When the rain came, things got quite tricky, so I focused on defending and bringing the car home – eventually managing to finish fourth. Scoring points in both races felt really rewarding for the hard work done throughout these months: now, I am looking forward to finishing my rookie season on a high in Las Vegas.”
