Team Quotes

Jonathan Wheatley, Team Principal: “Singapore is a demanding race for the entire team. From the precision driving required from the city circuit through to the heat and humidity, Singapore is a true test of endurance. Coming off recent races, including Baku, we’ve seen that our pace within the midfield pack can be competitive, so we continue to focus on putting ourselves in a position to capitalise on any opportunity that comes our way. There is still a lot to play for this season and the motivation from everyone at the factory and on the track will continue to drive us forward as we enter the final seven races of the championship.”

Nico Hulkenberg (car number 27): “There’s something unique about driving under the Singapore night lights, with the city all around you. The track is a solid challenge, with walls that allow zero room for mistakes and corners that demand full focus. The humidity is another factor to consider, but we prepare well for these conditions. After a tough weekend in Baku, I am keen to get back into action, putting up a fight in an incredibly competitive midfield.”

Gabriel Bortoleto (car number 5): “I am really looking forward to Singapore. The track is completely new to me – although I have been preparing for it at the sim – so I am really excited to see what it has in store for us. The night racing, the walls, the heat and humidity – it’s going to be a big challenge, but that’s what makes it exciting. I aim to get familiar with the track as quickly as possible, finding the rhythm, and making the most of every chance we’ll get this weekend.”
