2025 Italian Grand Prix – Friday

Monza, 5 September 2025 – Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber got the first taste of action at the Temple of Speed, as the team completed two productive practice sessions in Monza. Preparations for the Italian Grand Prix got off to a solid start, with Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto gathering a solid amount of data on car setup and tyres during FP1 and FP2: both sessions proceeded smoothly, allowing engineers both trackside and at base to focus on the first indications from the circuit, ahead of a busy evening of analysis to extract every ounce of performance from the car ahead of Qualifying tomorrow.
Nico Hulkenberg (car number 27):
FP1: 12th / 1:21.179 (26 laps)
FP2: 8th / 1:20.241 (27 laps)
“It was a straightforward Friday for us, with no issues. We focused on running through our programme, gathering data on the car, the package, and the tyres. We made some good progress from FP1 to FP2 today, and the aim now is to keep building on that over the weekend.”
Gabriel Bortoleto (car number 5):
FP1: 11th / 1:21.172 (24 laps)
FP2: 12th / 1:20.475 (25 laps)
“Driving in Monza is always special, and I’m quite happy with the work we did today. Overall, it was a positive, productive day: we got good laps in, worked on understanding the car balance, and did some fine-tuning here and there. Tomorrow we’ll keep pushing with another practice session before we head into qualifying. Big thanks to the whole team for today’s work – we keep moving forward.”
