Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
Your mission
- Responsible for the technical procurement of components, tools, and raw materials – considering quality, project timelines, production specifications, and cost
- Assumed responsibility for indirect procurement
- Coordinated internal and external provision of components and monitored related deadlines
- Planned and procured all necessary parts to ensure on-time production
- Worked closely with the departments of Quality, Production, Additive Manufacturing, Project Management, Design, and Testing
- Selected suitable suppliers and manufacturing processes – both internal and external – based on specific requirements
- Played an active role in an operational environment with a growing strategic focus, particularly in advancing procurement processes within the prototyping domain
Your profile
- Strong commercial acumen combined with a solid technical background
- Ability to confidently read technical drawings and specifications and communicate effectively with technical partners
- Completed technical training (e.g. as a polymechanic or equivalent) is required – ideally supplemented by further commercial education
- At least three years of professional experience in purchasing or procurement
- Good knowledge of production processes, prototyping, and small batch manufacturing
- Ideally, experience with modern 3D printing technologies (laser sintering, stereolithography, DMLS), as well as CNC machining and other common manufacturing methods
- Proficient in using ERP systems (especially SAP), MS Office, and ideally also JIRA and Power BI
- Structured, independent, and reliable working style with strong analytical thinking
- Willingness to proactively address both strategic topics and operational tasks
- Strong understanding of supply chain management – including the development of existing suppliers and the establishment of new partnerships
- High problem-solving ability, team spirit, flexibility, and resilience in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in English language skills. German language skills will be an advantage
